Thankyou Italy For Great Food And Italian Wine

Defined Tag:

There are so many countries that are well known for their production of wines but none more so than Italy and their Italian wine. This country is one of the largest producers and exporters of this type of produce in the world. That's right, it produces the greatest varieties through the use of both native and international vine types. There are no less than four regions throughout this beautiful country that includes the Northeast, Northwest, Central and South and Islands regions. As they are all individual regions their produce differs giving us the consumers a variety of great tastes to choose from.

The Northwest region of Italy is the most affluent of all the regions. It includes Aosta Valley, Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna. The Northeast region makes more modern varieties. Production in this area started in the 1970's and two of the country's best wine schools are located there. Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige and Friuli-Venezia Giulia make up this newer region. In the Central region, the conditions naturally needed for this produce exist.

This area often has to balance modern methods with its traditional values. Included in this region are Tuscany, Umbria, Marches, Latium, Abruzzi and Molise. The final region, South and Islands, contains Campania, Apulia, Basilicata, Calabria, Sicily and Sardinia. Forty percent of all the produce is produced in this region.

If you haven't already tried a glass or two from Italy then I suggest that you do.  The next time you go to your favorite Italian restaurant ask the waiter to recommend a glasss to compliment your meal.  Remember the Italians always drink a glass of red or white when eating so they know what is the best accompaniment to choose. And of course, you do not need to be eating a meal to enjoy a glass or two of Italian wine.  You can enjoy it on your own or with family and friends.  Whatever way you decide, you will not be disappointed.
