For An Excellent German Wine - Why Not Try A Reisling?
Something to note, however is that over twenty percent of Germany's entire wine production is comprised of a single type of grape, the Riesling grape. With such a large part of production invested in Riesling, it comes as no surprise that this type of white is perhaps the best-known and most popular that is produced in Germany. Although other countries also grow Riesling grapes and produce this type, none seems to compare to the variety from Germany. This is due in large part to the soil and environmental conditions. It is a well known fact that grapes take on characteristics of the soil and other surroundings so depending upon where a grape is grown, the same type of wine can vary greatly in the finished product. And of course, Germany is perfect for this type of production. Especially in the southwestern part of the country where there is ideal conditions to grow grapes. The scenery in this part of the country is mind blowing with slopes and valleys full of vineyards with lush grapes hanging from vines. Imagine spending some time away from home in this region. How blissfull would that be? Not only would you be relaxing in beauty but you would have the opportunity to sample some of the best Reisling in the world. In fact, some of the best German wine in the world.
